Clarity. Relief. Renewal.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

At Upton Wellness, we recognize that mental health care involves more than symptom relief. We take time to understand your experiences, goals, and overall well-being.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy may be an option for some patients, particularly when other treatments have not provided enough relief. We begin with an individualized evaluation to determine whether it is appropriate, discuss its potential benefits and risks, and develop a treatment plan based on your needs. Results vary, and ketamine is not right for everyone.

When ketamine-assisted therapy is appropriate, treatment is provided with clinical monitoring and opportunities to reflect on the experience as part of your broader care plan.

How Ketamine Works

Ketamine affects the brain differently from many traditional antidepressants. It acts in part on the glutamate system, which plays a role in how brain cells communicate and adapt. Researchers are still studying how these effects relate to changes in mood.

For some people with depression, ketamine may provide symptom relief sooner than traditional antidepressants. Responses vary, and research into its use for other mental health conditions is still developing.

At Upton Wellness, we consider ketamine-assisted therapy as part of an individualized treatment plan. We evaluate whether it is appropriate for you, discuss potential benefits and risks, and monitor your response throughout care.
